International Management Assistants (IMA) is an international quality network of management support professionals. The aim of the association is to encourage its members in their careers and enhance their professional and individual development.
IMA was founded in 1974 under the name European Association of Professional Secretaries (EAPS); Finland joined the association in 1975. EAPS was re-named as European Management Assistants, EUMA in 1999 and since February 1, 2017 as IMA. IMA is currently represented in nearly 30 European countries and overseas too having over 1400 members.
IMA Finland has over 200 members from public and private sectors and offers its members a high quality international network alongside company visits and professional events.
You will have up-to-date information regarding different professional developments and are welcome to join in custom-made training programmes, conferences and workshops. You will learn about culture and business life in all the member countries and meet members with a vast range of business knowledge and lifestyles. You will share a world-wide professional and personal network and take an active part in the recognition of the management assistant profession.
You are eligible to become a member in IMA Finland if you have a minimum of three years' management support experience and know two IMA members who recommend you

As every business, we have a set of principles to act in an honest and ethical way. Our members have to adhere to IMA International Code of Conduct. In addition, we have a way of working document in IMA Finland called Tapa Toimia. Due to the name change from EUMA to IMA on February 1, 2017, this Tapa Toimia document is being updated later.
